Canyon Breeze Elite II Sale Held
The Canyon Breeze Elite II Sale was wrapped up on Friday, August 6th at Gillins Dairy in Minersville, UT. The sale average on 77 lots was $3,364 with a gross of $259,000. Lot 35 was the high seller at $15,500 and sold to Ferme Jolicap Inc. In a tie for second high seller was Lot 36, which also went to Ferme Jolicap, and Lot 34, which sold to Justin Helgerson, for $9,200 each.
World Dairy Expo - Judges
Meet the judges for the International Holstein on Friday Oct. 1st - heifers and Saturday Oct. 2nd - Cows. The Grand International Red & White Holstein Show on Thursday Sept. 30th - heifers and Friday Oct 1st - Cows. All American Judges - Holsteins
The 2010 All-American Dairy Show will welcome two judges to place classes in Holstein, Red & White Holstein and the Holstein youth shows Sept. 18-23 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg. Make a trip to the show to see the cattle from all over the U.S. and Canada compete for the top prizes.

The Red Sensational 2010 National Red & White Convention Highlights
The Southeast Red & White Dairy Cattle Association hosted the 2010 National Red & White Convention, “The Red Sensational” July 20-23. The Convention began by members meeting the candidates of the first National Red & White Queen Contest Tuesday night, a judging contest for all members and the queen contest on Wednesday, Farm tours and the Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet on Thursday, ending with the 41st National Red & White Convention Sale on Friday.

The 2010 World Dairy Expo Recognition Award Winners are: Dairy Woman of the Year - Liz Doornink, of Jon-De Farms in Baldwin, Wisconsin; International Person of the Year – Mr. Tadanaga Komori, Japan Livestock Trading Corporation of Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan; Dairyman of the Year – Donald T. Bennink, of North Florida Holsteins, Bell, Florida and Industry Person of the Year - Horace A. Backus, Backus Pedigree Company of Mexico, New York.
International Intrigue Results
Ancaster Ontario was the place to be on July 31st. Canadian and U. S. breeders attending the International Intrigue Sale competed vigorously for the top lots that were offered. The sale boasted an unofficial average of $16,758 with a gross of $1,943,900.00. The high selling lot was the Misty Springs M O M Seraphyne, an April 2010 Man O Man daughter with a +3405 GPA LPI. She was purchased by Lookout Holsteins, Canton-de-Harley, Quebec, and Marita Holsteins Int'l, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
