Grand Champions named at Midwest Spring National R&W Show
The 2011 Midwest Spring National R&W Holstein Show concluded today with Silvermine Advent Tally-Red-ET taking home top honors as Senior Champion and overall Grand Champion of the Show. Tally was the winning four-year-old and is owned by Milksource Genetics. Reserve Grand Champion honors went to the Intermediate Champion and winning senior three-year-old, Oakvale Advent Cinnabar-Red also owned by Milksource Genetics. Congratulations to all exhibitors!
Junior Champions named at Midwest Spring National R&W Show
The Midwest Spring National Red & White Holstein Show was held today in Jefferson, Wisconsin. A fantastic lineup of heifers paraded before judge Eddie Bue, Fithian, Il. but it was the pair of spring yearlings that went home with the honor of junior champion and reserve junior champion. Ms Joleanna S Auburn-Red-ET owned by Chilliwack Cattle Co. and sired by Gen-I-Beq Sahara was named junior champion and Critter-Ridge Reba-Red-ET owned by Siemers Holsteins and sired by Patience Showline Contender was tapped at reserve. The first place fall calf, Siemers Destry Sunny-Red-ET, owned by Jordan Siemers and Crystal Siemers-Peterman got the node for honorable mention junior champion.

Grand Champions from NY Spring International Holstein Show
Rockymountain Talent Licorice-ET captured the 2011 NY Spring International Holstein Show being named Senior Champion and later Grand Champion. Licorice was also the winning four-year-old owned by Ferme Blondin. Judge Brian Carscadden named winning aged cow, Rainyridge Talent Barbara-ET, as reserve senior and reserve grand champion of the show. Barbara is owned by Ernie Kueffner and St. Jacobs. (Note: Barbara's dam Outside Breeze was named Grand Champion of the Southern National Holstein Show just two days earlier). Winterbay Goldwyn Lotto, owned by Peter Vail and Peter Vail, Jr, was named honorable mention senior champion.
NY Spring International Holstein Show Intermediate Champions
Cavanaleck BG Scarlett-ET was named Intermediate Champion of the 2011 NY Spring International Holstein Show. Scarlett was the winning senior three-year-old and is a Goldwyn daughter owned by Hodglynn, Air America, Moo-York and Conroy. The winning senior two-year-old was named reserve intermediate champion, MD-Hillbrook Sunburst-Red, a Redliner daughter owned by Chris and Jen Hill, Strause and Merwarth.
Junior Champions from NY Spring International Holstein Show
The NY Spring International Holstein Show Junior Champions for 2011 have been selected. Judge Brian Carscadden, Guelph, Ontario selected the winning summer yearling, Hodglynn Dundee Schimmer, exhibited by Hodglynn, Morrell, Conroy and Gretz. The first place winter yearling, Four-Hills Asp Joan 2954-ET, exhibited by C & J Hill, C & S Umbel and T Whittier was named reserve junior champion and receiving honorable mention honors was the winning fall calf, R-E-W Happy Go Lucky-ET, exhibited by Max Wolf.

First Choice Female from Scientific Gold Dish Rae-ET VG-88 DOM topped the 67th Annual Dodgeramma Sale was held on Saturday, April 9th at Crescentmead Holsteins in Ixonia, WI. Dish Rae is the *RC *TV GTPI+2024 Goldwyn daughter of Debutante Rae EX-92. The gavel hit at $13,000 with Dr. David Atwell as the successful buyer.
