Fischer and Iager Join Holstein Foundation Board of Trustees

The Holstein Foundation is pleased to welcome David Fischer and Matthew Iager, DVM, to their board of trustees. The board oversees the direction of the Holstein Foundation’s youth and young adult education and leadership development programs.

 

Dave Fischer was raised on a Holstein dairy farm in Southern Illinois and was active in the 4-H dairy project and Junior Holstein club. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal/Dairy Science at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and Master of Science in Environmental Sciences with an emphasis on livestock waste management from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

 

Fischer spent 40 years in his career as a County Agricultural Advisor and State-wide Dairy Educator with University of Illinois Extension. He retired in 2010 and continued as Illinois 4-H Dairy Program Coordinator/Coach until 2020. Fischer has been recognized statewide and nationally for his involvement and commitment t... Ladys Manor breeds two of the Top 4 GTPI Bulls

Ladys Manor is a household name in the Holstein breed and is making the highlights once again. Two of the top four high ranking GTPI bulls are bred by Ladys Manor Holsteins - Ladys-Manor 1166 with +3105GTPI and Ladys Manor 1155 with +3089GTPI.

 

Both bulls are sons of Ladys-Manor Grnt Oohm VG-85, a Granite daughter backed by twelve generations of Ladys Manor females, including seven excellent cows. Ladys-Manor 1166 is a Highjump son with high components, great health traits, and good type. Ladys-Manor 1155 is an AltaZazzle son with similar traits to his maternal brother, but also has great milk and fat production.

Cows Scored EX-95 or Higher in 2020

Within the United States in 2020, thirty-six Holstein females were scored 95-points or higher. One female earned the final score of EX-97, while five females scored EX-96. Udder scores ranged from 93 to 97 points with most females earning 95 or 96 udder score points.

Of this high scoring group, seven were red. Patience Showline Contender-Red (80HO06002) was the most prevalent red sire, with two daughters in the group. Kings-Ransom Farm earns 2 All-American Nominations

Kings-Ransom Farm has earned not one, but two All-American Nominations. Petitclerc Avalanche Syrah-ET is nominated in the Milking Yearling class after placing 1st at the New York State Show and 3rd at a National Holstein Open Show. Kings-Ransom Copy Dream, Kings-Ransom Kian Effie, and Kings-Ransom Montry Cans came together to earn a Senior Best Three All-American Nomination after being the winning Senior Best Three at the Mid-East Fall National Show.
