The industry's elite bring high prices at International Intrigue
The 2011 International Intrigue was a huge success for sale managers Butler-Fellers and sale hosts Blondin Farms ending with a final average of $26,113 on 129 live lots and choices.
Here are a few highlights:
• $420,000 Lot 1 - Rockymountain Talent Licorice, All-American, All-Canadian and unbeaten on the tanbark in 2011! Licorice was the successful purchase of Butler, Borba and Julio Fernandes (Brazil) with Milksource Genetics as contender.
• $200,000 Lot 4 - MD-Hillbrook Sunburst-Red-ET, 1st Senior 2-Yr-Old at the 2011 NY Spring International and Junior Champion at World Dairy Expo 2010. Sunburst will now hit the tanbark under a new owner, Gene Iager, MD.
• $159,000 Lot 14 - Leaderwin Domain Mist-ET, the +2574 GTPI Domain from the #1 Milking Jeeves in the U.S. and was the successful purchase of Dairy Elite Genomics LLC, IL.
