Pedigree Analysis of 2011 National Show Winners - HolsteinUSA
Brattleboro, Vt. (November 16, 2011)…Holstein Association USA has updated the Pedigree Analysis of National Holstein Show winners to reflect the 2011 show season. This section, which debuted last year, is provided for showing enthusiasts and contains various lists that provide a closer look at the genetics behind some of the most elite cattle in the Holstein breed. For the second year running, Braedale Goldwyn receives the honor of being the 2011 Overall Leading Sire of National Holstein Show Winners, siring 31 heifers in the top three in their classes and 50 cows, making him the top sire in both of those categories.

Jacobs Goldwyn Britany winning four-year-old - Royal Winter Fair
Jacobs Goldwyn Britany adds another win to her resume standing first in the four-year-old class at the 2011 Canadian National Holstein Show! Congratulations to Ferme Jacobs on the win... they also had the 5th place four-year-old, Crasdale Dundee Liza, and the 10th place four-year-old, Jacobs Goldwyn Emory!
2011 Sale of Stars commands top prices for breed's elite!
The 2011 Sale of Stars was a huge success for managers Brian Craswell Auctions Ltd. and Blondin Int'l Inc. averaging an astounding $26,980. High seller of the evening was Lot 40: Ms Pride Gold Invite, the VG-87-2YR Goldwyn daughter of Regancrest Shottle Ili-ET and with a DGV LPI +2640 is the highest Goldwyn in Canada. Invite sold to Ponderosa Holsteins, Spain for $170,000. Lot 7 was the second high seller at $167,000 and is one of the best Planet daughters in the country from the great Rudy Missy family. Boasting a GTPI of +2277G +3.58T and already VG-86-2YR, Planet Shana sold to Benner Holsteins and Pennview of Manitoba, Canada.
