Grand Champion named at Midwest Spring National

Milksource Goldwyn Africa the winning four-year-old received top honors at the 2012 Midwest Spring National Holstein Show earlier today in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Africa is owned by Budjon Farm and Peter Vail. Reserve Grand Champion was awarded to the Intermediate Champion and winning senior three-year-old, First-Glance Talent Contest. Contest was exhibited by Herman and Kathleen Hoffman. The Reserve Senior Champion went to the first place five-year-old, Pyramid Goldwyn Shimmer-ET, exhibited by Jordan and Whitney Ebert. Intermediate Champions named at Midwest Spring National

Intermediate Champion of the 2012 Midwest Spring National Holstein Show went to the winning Senior Three-Year-Old, First Glance Talent Contest, owned by Herman and Kathleen Hoffman. Reserve Intermediate Champion honors went to the second place Senior Three-Year-Old, Benrise Goldwyn JoJo. JoJo is owned by Budjon Farms and Peter Vail. Honorable Mention Intermediate Champion went to the first place Junior Three-Year-Old, Ludwigs-DG Goldwyn Emmy-ET, owned and exhibited by Ludwig Farms. Just in from Wisconsin... Junior Champions Named!

Congratulations to Stranshome on receiving top honors in the heifer show with Stranshome Gold Alyssum-ET the winning summer yearling! Reserve Junior Champion went to the first place spring yearling, Duckett P Lucy-Red, exhibited by Westcoast Holsteins and Honorable Mention to the second place summer yearling, Stranshome Gold Saffron-ET.

Seisme does it again!

The 2012 Midwest Spring National Red and White Show was completed today in Jefferson, Wisconsin where 110 entries were evaluated by judge Chris Lammers of Ohio. At the end of the day Blondin Redman Seisme-Red a Valleyriver Rubn Redman-Red-ET aged cow daughter reigned as Grand Champion for Milk Source Genetics of Kaukauna, Wisconsin. The Reserve Grand Champion also came from Milk Source and we know her as Oakvale Advent Cinnabar-Red a KHW Kite Advent-Red-ET four year old daughter. Honorable mention went to the Intermediate Champion, Cleland Advnt Alexia-Red another KHW Kite Advent-Red-ET daughter. She was the winner of the Senior Three Year Old class and was exhibited by Jason Cleland of Clinton, Wisconsin. The Premier Exhibitor honors went to Milk Source Genetics, Premier Breeder was Lyons Holsteins of Castalia, Iowa and the Premiere sire was KHW Kite-Advent-Red-ET. Camomile wins Grand of the National Convention Show

The 2012 National Convention Show has wrapped up in Brandon, Manitoba with a total of 202 animals placed by Judge John W. Buckley. Grand Champion honors went to the winning four-year-old and senior champion, Silvermaple Damion Camomile, exhibited by Stanhope, Wedgewood and Silvermaple. Reserve grand and reserve senior champion was awarded to the winning five-year-old Brainwave Goldwyn Lauramie exhibited by Westcoast Holsteins. $11,065 average at the Prairie Classic Sale!

A tremendous group of individuals and a tremendous sale in Brandon, Manitoba for the 2012 National Holstein Convention with an average of $11,065 on 88 lots. High seller of the evening was Lot 13 the GLPI+3006 Snowman from Mapel Wood Baxter Bethany. Snowman Basanti was the consignment of Benner Holsteins and was purchased by Pennview and Benner Holsteins for $48,000. Second high seller was the *RC Snowman GLPI+2961 daughter from Des-Y-Gen Planet Silk that sold for $39,000 to Eastside Holsteins. Third high selling lot at $37,000 was Lot 2 the first choice female from Ammon-Peachey Shana-ET to Rockymountain Holsteins.
