All American Holstein Show Success for Savage-Leigh
The Holstein cow classes at the All American Dairy Show took place on Thursday, September 12th in Harrisburg, PA. The show proved to be very competitive, with quality animals of all ages making an appearance. Savage-Leigh continued their 2013 show ring success with Savage-Leigh Gold Lona-ET and Savage-Leigh Leona-ET.
Savage-Leigh Gold Lona topped a tough Four Year Old class, and was named Reserve Senior Champion of the Holstein show. Lona is a Goldwyn x Savage-Leigh Leona-ET.
A full sister to Lona, Savage-Leigh Lucious, was also 8th in the Fall calf class the day prior.
Savage-Leigh Leona-ET won the 150,000lb cow class, and received a pull for the Senior Champion drive as well. Leona is an Allen x Savage-Leigh Licorice-ET.
Savage-Leigh also took home first-place honors in the Produce of Dam class, with progeny of Savage-Leigh Licorice.
