Vision Genetics Joins Holstein Plaza

Vision Genetics is the newest breeder to join Holstein Plaza.

Vision Genetics was established in 1994, before then Corey Wolff was using the Pen-Col prefix to breed and market cattle. The main office of Vision Genetics is actually located at what is called Pen-Col #2. Vision Genetics is comprised of a main farm and then numerous partnership in cattle around the country and Europe.

The goal of Vision Genetics is to provide a reliable breeding product that can enhance anyone's herd and make it better. This can done by including the top cow families and aggressively breeding those animals to the next generation of top bulls. The ultimate care of those cattle will enable them to accomplish their genetic abilities.

The focus at Vision Genetics is to breed cattle that will transmit the ability to last, make large volumes of milk, and look good doing it. We are currently using 30% high genomic young sires, along with top TPI bulls. Currently, Vision Genetics owns or co-owns over 500 head of elite Holstein breeding stock. Vision Genetics has invested $1.5 million over the last few years in breeding stock and embryos. The goal is to include elite, diverse pedigrees and cow families.
