Top Genomic Lists Updated
The top genomic lists from the December proof run have been updated. These lists include the top 25 heifers, top 25 cows and the top 25 heifers and cows with no Shottle, Goldwyn or Oman in their pedigree.
To date, there have been over 24,000 females that have been genomically tested in the United States. There is a new #1 female in the breed, Leaderwin Domain Mist at +2498. Owned by Oakfield Corners Dairy of NY, this Domain heifer is from a Jeeves that is due to calve this winter, followed by a VG-89 Shottle that is from the Da-Net Patron Pansy family.
There are numerous popular cow families represented on the top 25 heifer list with Welcome Goldwyn Penya (VG-89) leading the way with three decendants. Bowser tops the list with four daughters in the top 25 on the sire side of things.
Topping the list of cows again is Co-op Boliver Yoyo +2333, a VG Boliver from the Milkworth Manfred Yadda family. She also tops the outcross cow list.
