Top 10 Breeders Invitational is in the Books


The 2010 Top 10 Breeders Invitational is in the books, taking place at the historic 100th anniversary of the National Cattle Congress fairgrounds in Waterloo, Iowa. The sale grossed a total of $807,900, averaging $4808 on 168 lots with members from the Holstein, Brown Swiss, and Jersey breeds.

The 1st Choice of Lot 5A/5B was the top lot for the day, selling for $26,500. Buyer had their choice of Lot 5A, MS Gold-N-Oaks O Oceana-ET, or Lot 5B, Gold-N-Oaks P Sidona 2145-ET. Oceana is an April calf with a GTPI +2214, sired by Crockett-Acres Otto, and out of Gold-N-Oaks S Marbella-ET VG-89 (EX-MS) DOM. Sidona is a March calf with a GTPI +2296, sired by All-Riehl Paxton, and out of Gold-N-Oaks S Sidney1843 who just fresh and is the only Shottle out of Gold-N-Oaks Gold-Girl-ET VG-88 (EX-MS) DOM.

Selling for $25,000, added Lot 106 was the second high seller. Lot 106 was a 1st Choice Female sired by MAS or Goldwyn out of Lavender Ruby Redrose-Red 2E-96, who is a former WDE Supreme Champion and recently fresh and ready to hit the colored shavings this fall. Redrose is making her debut at the Cattle Congress show today in Waterloo.
