Elite Genetics bring high prices on National Convention Sale


The demand for elite Holstein genetics proved to be very high at tonight's 2011 National Holstein Convention Sale managed by The Cattle Exchange, Landis Marketing & Daniel Brandt, co-mgrs. and hosted by the Virginia Holstein Association. The unofficial average of the sale was a commanding $14,774. High seller of the sale at $66,000 was the beautiful Apple clone, a junior two-year old for 2011 and sold due in July. Selling for $46,000 and the second high seller of the night was Lot 17 the +2529 GTPI Observer daughter from Leaderwin Jeeves Mace, the #1 milking Jeeves daughter in the United States.
