Donor Update for Golden Oaks Farms
Holstein Plaza had a wonderful visit to Golden Oaks Farm last week during National Holstein Convention and excited to update a few of the donors currently being worked with at the farm. Red show star, Cleland Advnt Alexia-Red looks fantastic and will be ready for the summer and fall shows off her Grand Champion win at the Midwest Spring National Show. Gloryland-I Goldwyn Locket EX-94 is currently being flushed and is from the high indexing line of Lana Rae Roxys! A great day for Rosedale Genetics at the Wisconsin District 5 Holstein Show winning nine classes including Junior Best 3 Females, Best 3 Females and Premier Breeder. Rosedale Silky Stilettos (Armani x EX-90 Gold Chris) was first place winter yearling and reserve junior champion. KHW Hightower VG-88 (Windbrook x EX-91 Shottle) was Intermediate Champion and winning senior two-year-old. Hightower is owned with KHW Genetics. Rosedale The Rose-Red VG-86 (Destry x Redrose) was Reserve Intermediate Champion. Rosedale Lucky Rose-Red EX-91 (Perseus x EX-91 Sanchez x Redrose) was Reserve Senior and Reserve Grand Champion with Rosedale Stardom Bound EX-94 (Goldwyn x Rosedale Lea-Ann) was HM Senior Champion.

The 2015 National Holstein Convention Sale was held Wednesday evening in St. Charles, Illinois with over 100 head selling for an average of $9800. Topping the sale was Lot 12, View-Home 1st Glance the +2703 GTPI Alta1stClass daughter of View-Home Mcc Alabama the full sister to Monterey and daughter of the tremendous brood cow Pine-Tree 2149Robst 4846. Consigned by Country Dairy, Inc., she was purchased by Peak Genetics for $103,000. Second high seller at $43,000 was Spruce-Haven Sil So16348, a +2684G Silver daughter and sold to Rock-Hill Dairy.
