Holstein Canada Announces Contenders for 2020 Cow of the Year


Holstein Canada has announced the final four contenders in the race for the 2020 Cow of the Year title.

 

Hendercroft Fever Bazooka EX-96-4E-CAN 3* (15/0) | 41* in the Family

Bazooka is bred and owned by Herbert Henderson. She has several exhibition victories and an impressive production record. Along with her mother, Gumball, she is part of Canada's first EX-96 mother-daughter pair.

 

Knonaudale Jasmine EX-96-4E-CAN 7* (11/25) | 33* in the Family

Jasmine was bred by Knonaudale Farms and is now owned by Kingsway Farms. She is a model of versatility and power; both on the farm and in the ring. Around the world, Jasmine and her offspring have earned a reputation of excellence.

 

Idee Windbrook Lynzi EX-95-2E-CAN | 59* in the Family

Lynzi was bred by Idee Holsteins and is now owned by Richard W. & Shannon Allyn, Frank A. & Diane Borba, JM Valley Holsteins and Stephane Gendreau. She is an exceptional cow, having made a name for herself at an early age, and most recently was the Grand Champion Holstein at the 2019 Royal Winter Fair.

 

Walnutlawn Mccutchen Summer EX-94-2E-CAN 8* (5/38) | 136* in the Family

Summer was bred by Walnutlawn Farms LTD. and is now owned by St John River LLC. Summer completes 13 generations of cows bred only in Canada classified VG or EX. Summer was nominated All-Canadian in 2016 and won the adult cow class at the last Ontario Summer Invitational show.
